Jane has undertaken a wide variety of projects during consultancy. Below is a sample of some of the larger and more recent projects.

- Facilitation of a series of project meetings as part of the Border Systems Analysis and Review process to develop a new biosecurity border system for New Zealand
- Chair of joint MAF / Ministry of Health Salt Marsh Mosquito Surveillance working group
- Chair of avian influenza government/industry technical and stakeholder working groups
- Chairing multi-stakeholder workshops in relation to the technical review of the proposed Tb National Pest Management Strategy
- Chair of various fisheries working groups in relation to mitigating the environmental effects of fishing on marine mammals, seabirds and benthic ecosystems
- Facilitation of various aquaculture workshops between central and regional government from 2004 to the present
- Facilitation of Medical Advisory Panel processes for the Accident Compensation Corporation
- Design of a dispute resolution process for the Canterbury – Marlborough rock lobster fishery
- Facilitation of final negotiations between industry and central/local government for the New Zealand Packaging Accord.
Policy & consultation processes
- Assisting the Board of Inquiry with analysis of submission and policy issues for the Proposed 2009 New Zealand Coastal Policy Statement
- Project managing the Ministry of Agriculture’s policy input into the joint government industry National Animal Identification & Traceability Project
- Overseeing the 2002/03 Ecological Risk Assessment of the New Zealand hoki fishery in and various ongoing environmental projects in relation to this work, including various national and international speaking engagements
- Preparation of draft guidelines for mataitai reserve application under the Kaimoana Customary Fishing Regulations
- Consolidation of aquaculture policy decisions in relation to aquaculture reform
- Scoping and preparing a draft regional water strategy for the Wellington Region
- Team Leader of Regional Form & Systems focus area of the Wellington Regional Strategy.
- Voluntary EcoLabeling in New Zealand: Drivers for Adoption and Environmental Benefits in the Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry and Tourism sectors
- Various submissions analysis and advice in relation to the review of the Wildlife Act, marine protected area proposals and domestic trade in whalebone.-
